Ladenatelier + Galerie „PANAMA"
The idea behind “Mach Kunst!” – a gallery, shop and participatory studio – is to bring visual art to the heart of Potsdam at a time when space for contemporary visual art is dwindling in the city if not at risk of disappearing altogether. The two artists Nadine Conrad and Allan Paul – both from the Kunst und Kulturhaus Rechenzentrum – know for themselves how difficult it is to find a space that is free of political pressure. Nadine Conrad and Allan Paul display their own works here, but also works by Lothar Krone, Jeanne Finsterbusch, Dominique Raack and Elisabeth Dishur. Visitors gain insight into the working process and may purchase newly created pieces. Nadine Conrad and Allan Paul pursue almost opposing artistic styles. While Nadine Conrad usually paints romantic landscapes in a finely chiselled, layered manner, Allan Paul creates works where the motifs, themes and painting styles engage in fierce dispute.
In addition, high-quality stationery and small works of art, either self-made or created by friends – are sold in the shop area.
